OMC Hydrogen Funded by Susquehanna Private Equity Investments
July 12, 2023
New capital to support highly efficient route for green hydrogen and CO2 recycling to make fuels and chemicals
Boulder, Colorado -
OMC has secured a seed round investment from Susquehanna Private Equity Investments, LLLP, an affiliate of Susquehanna International Group (SIG).
OMC’s isothermal redox process offers substantial cost, performance, and scaling advantages over electro- and photochemical approaches. OMC integrates directly with and scales to meet existing industries such as fuels refining, ammonia production, and steelmaking. OMC can convert water and CO2 directly into syngas in a single step without the use of an electrolyzer, catalyst, or the reverse water gas shift reaction.
The funds bolster OMC as we set out to break the world efficiency record for the conversion of solar energy to fuels, prove the durability of our active material, and grow the team. We are working towards our first pilot scale system and are looking for strategic partners with an interest in production of green hydrogen at scale or efficient CO2 utilization.
OMC’s process holds immense promise in providing an affordable and sustainable solution to the world's growing energy needs, while also helping to mitigate the effects of climate change.

About OMC Hydrogen:
OMC Hydrogen is developing a scalable thermochemical platform that leverages domestically abundant materials to produce affordable green hydrogen and hydrocarbons using only sustainable sources of heat, water, and carbon dioxide. The process has substantial cost and performance benefits over electrochemical or photochemical approaches to supplant current fossil sources of hydrogen and hydrocarbons that can derived from syngas.
